Good times!
by CSMobileUser at Citysearch
Funny thing is I found this bar on accident while I was vacationing! I met a local and we literally stumbled upon this place! Drinks on the cheap, people watching (and let me tell you, there is a lot to see), and just overall good times! I have come to realize that it's not always where you're at that makes the difference, it's the company you keep! I love this bar for the good memories!
AVOID THIS PLACE!

Walked in after paying a cover and they refused to serve us because the bartender thought my buddy was drunk. I understand that. They then offered us our cover back which was cool, only to turn around and say no once we were outside. NOT COOL!!! i don't recommend this place to anybody unless you enjoy having people take advantage of you.
Downtown dive bar combines kitschy atmosphere with cheap drinks and a rough-and-tumble set of regulars.

In Short
Often singled out as one of San Diego's legendary dive bars, this colorful hangout near Horton Plaza attracts a crowd of hard-core drinkers and weekend warriors ready to party. Regulars overlook the sticky, booze-stained red carpet andtattered leatherette bar stools for a chance to throw back cheap drinks poured by cute Asian bartenders. The tacky décor is achieved mostly with old beer posters, sparkly tinsel and strings of Christmas lights, and the dimly lit space borders on scary. Loud music turns conversation into an exercise in lip reading, and when it gets hot and crowded, a brawl or two is inevitable.
