We had a twofer coupon so gave Samba a try. BIG MISTAKE. First, the place was empty, a huge room with maybe four tables occupied. The salad bar was chincy and had been sitting too long. I tried a meatball that was so hard I could barely cut through it. When the first meat dish finally came by it was just char and gristle. Sausage came next, hard and overdone. Then more meat bland and tasteless except for the char. They dropped a big piece on the floor and just left it there until we finally picked it up. If my dog had been there I don’t even think he would have eaten it. Finally the skirt steak was the last straw. The first piece that wasn’t all black and char but the disgusting metallic taste one bite left in my mouth is still with me. At this point the waitress asked if everything was ok. We told her it was not and explained why. She said she would only charge us for a salad bar, as an accommodation I said that would be fine. When she brought the bill however she had charged us for two salad bars explaining that the coupon did not apply unless you got the whole meal. They were actually trying to charge us two dollars more then the coupon price. I refused her offer to pay more then the original price (! for what was the worst restaurant meal I have ever been offered!). She sent the Hostess over who started a heated argument that since we had eaten some food we had to pay and she could make no accommodation without a manager, who was not in the restaurant. We could wait for whenever he might arrive however. Finally the head chef came out and he apologized for the situation and offered to charge us just for the one salad bar. To end the ordeal I agreed and we left. They could be giving food away and I would not go back. I did get one good thing out of the meal...a good story. How many times can you say you have been to a restaurant reported a problem and been told that they were sorry and they would be happy to charge you extra for the trouble.

Pros: None

Cons: Inedible Food, terrible service no redeeming quality
