Wonderful Stylists!

I went this afternoon because I BADLY needed a cut/dye after a 4 1/2 month deployment. I basically picked the closest highly-recommended salon to me, lucky me, it turned out better than I expected.

I called just to be sure they had availability, and 40 minutes later was walking into their salon. I waited for about 5 minutes, and then Amy J. [I'm told there are three Amy's here!] came out to greet me. She was fantastic! Knowledgeable and very skilled in her craft, I wasn't entirely sure wheat I wanted, but she helped me decide the best option and a coworker of hers even came over to offer some advice, which was great.

All in all, I was there for about 2 hours, which flew by with the lively chatter between Amy and I, and I never once got bored or felt neglected. I was offered a drink, and was made to genuinely feel welcome, which I appreciated beyond words. The results were stunning, I was getting looks from people all afternoon, and I have to say this is one of the best cut/dyes I've ever gotten.

If there is a con, it is that their services could be considered on the expensive side, however, I believe in getting what you pay for, so when my calculation of a 20% tip came to $46, I rounded it up to $50 without batting an eye. [This does however, include shampoo and conditioner that Amy sold me for around $50/each] I will definately return for my haircuts and colors from now on, as well as to try some of their other services, I would recommend this establishment to anyone willing to shell out a little extra cash to get that little extra reward.

• Cons: Not a place for a budget cut!

DONT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR FACE

I am going to have a heart attack. Today I went to Re Vive for the 1st time despite my better judgment. I usually go to Bella Tosca for facials. I decided to go with the Maui Facial but informed the person doing my facial that I was using differin gel for acne. She insisted that the Maui facial was the way to go... to make a long story short .. I have a chemical BURN in between my eyes! This was the facial that was supposed to set off my birthday. Undobtedly, the girl was nice but nice doesnt cut it when it comes to your face (you only have one) the person has to be KNOWLEDGABLE! I am heart broken and for over $100 plus a tip (cause I couldnt be tacky and not) I look and feel awful.

• Cons: Parking and ability to do good facials

Good place to remove your hair

I have had only positive experiences at this salon- I have gone several times for laser hair removal and the staff has always been courteous, professional, and efficient. I recently had a massage, and not only was it reasonably priced (Swedish) it was absolutely fantastic! I can't remember her name, but she had a slight East coast accent- ask for her!

Coolest retail manager ever.

I am not from Cali' but if I ever decide to take a trip to San Diego, I'm signing up for a massage from Ali she is so hot, and the retail manager Peter looks like such a cool guy, after my massage I want a San Diego Mohawk just like his.

Rhode Island is also cool. Thanks.

best day spa in San Diego

I am a loyal Revive customer, and I am always impressed with each service that I receive. The medspa is absolutely fabulous! I refuse to get Botox anywhere else. It's inexpensive and the nurse and doctor are highly educated and experienced. I get my hair done by Christina Contizano, and she is amazing. She always does a great job with my highlights and my haircuts always come out super cute. Sheila does my massages and words cannot even describe how great she is! I've only had my nails done there a couple times, but I was extremely happy with my pedicure I received from Ly. Also, I just recently had my makeup done there by Janessa for a friends wedding and she did a beautiful job! I highly recommend this Spa to everyone!

I WELL NEVER GO TO THIS SALON AGAIN

I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS SALON AGAIN, THE PPL THINK THEY ARE BETTER THEN YOU THE HAIR STLYLIST DONT LISTEN TO WHAT YOU WANT DONE TO YOUR HAIR. MANAGEMENT IS BAD AND THE GIRLS AT THE FRONT ( CUSTOMER SERVICE BAD AND MEAN)! IF YOU LOVE YOUR HAIR DONT GO THERE!

Great salon!

I followed my hairdresser to this salon, as I have been going to her for about 7 years now. She was at another salon in Mission Valley prior to this, but I prefer her new location at Revive much better. The salon is clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and always attentive; they greet you as soon as you walk in and are always very pleasant. This salon uses high-quality products (Bumble & Bumble, L'Oreal Professional Line, etc) and you can definitely feel and see a difference when your hair is treated to these higher-end product lines. My stylist, Tracy D., is fantastic. I always leave there feeling and looking fabulous!

I have not had a chance yet to visit their spa or try any of their other services, but I have toured the spa facility and it is quite serene and relaxing. If you are looking for a new stylist, ask for Tracy D. She is the best!

Love this place

I am from northern California, but I was in town in San Diego visiting a friend. We decided to have a spa day and Revive Salon and Spa was right down the street in Mission Valley.I had the best experience. It really is a one stop shop. First I got a facial from Angela...hands down the best facial. It was so relaxing and she was really knowledgeable on the products. She provided me with a regimen that I could easily follow at home and my skin has never looked better. After I went and got my hair cut by Erin who was sweet as can be. She really listened to me and my hair turned out great. After that, I received a manicure and pedicure from Amy who was hilarious. She had me laughing the entire time and gave me an unbelievable pedicure. The receptionists were so nice and helpful and even offered me a glass of wine after my facial! This was a great salon and I cant wait to go back during my next visit to San Diego!

• Pros: Friendly and professional staff, they offer EVERYTHING, centrally located
• Cons: The parking lot was full

Great Salon

My first visit was great. I have a hard time finding a salon I like. I have even been to the top rated salon in SD and was not impressed. It started with the phone call to make the appointment - the person who answered was very courteous and helpful. When I arrived I was greeted right away. The salon was clean and busy with clients. The stylist came out to get me promptly and was very polite and friendly - very professional Her name was Sara T. Her first day was my first time visiting, but she was not a new stylist. Has been doing hair for years. She was very knowledgeable about hairstyles and products they sold. I would recommend this salon and Sara T. to anyone looking for a good salon/stylist. They offer spa and nail services too, which I will try also.

Prepared to be revived!

I was so excited to find this place. The staff are nice, the hair stylist were really helpful in finding me a shampoo and conditioner that would work well for my hair and the haircuts i have received have always been great. I have also had the laser hair removal, which is definately working. The Doctor was very nice and thorough. I also recommend the facials as well. I have two different facialist and liked them both. I also bought some great skin medica products that are really weightless. I am planning on trying the teeth whitening next. The spa is relatively affordable with great specials.
