HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
by GENRA
My boyfriend's credit card was stolen and used by one of the staff members. Not only did they never apologize, we tried them again and they never said THANKS, can we make it up to you - NOTHING! Thank god we paid cash! They don't have steak knives and the service is SLOW. They get bent out of shape if you want to ask questions and the staff has responsibility with NO authority to make anything right!.
- Pros: good seating/Great musical entertainment
- Cons: Poor/slow service for the price!
Very Nice
by klberndt
Had a function hosted in the private room upstairs. The space was nice, the AV equipment was well placed, and easy to manipulate for ambient sound/live music vs the business presentations.
Appetizers were passed and were good. In particular the caviar dish. Drinks were good. Unfortunately, the one server our party was given was at times slow, and the wait between rounds was a bit too long.
Overall, the place was very enjoyable. I would go back again for some more live music and to eat off the menu.
- Pros: Good Private Room, Live Music
- Cons: Slow Service
A guaranteed fun night!

Finally, a fun and classy place in San Diego! I have been to Anthology a few times and each time it proves to be a truly unforgettable experience. The music is always great and the sound system is the best I have ever heard. The decor is very chic and elegant and the food is consistently delicious! I can't wait to go back!
- Pros: Great ambiance, great drinks, extraordinary live music, food
- Cons: drinks are a bit pricey
go for the entertainment

Great venue. I would return again; however, I would opt to sit anywhere but the community table unless you enjoy having someone sit on your lap. They seem to really pack the community table. Could be ok if you arrive early as it's first come, best seating with community table. Food was mediocre and overpriced. Venue worth returning for. Service not the best but decent. Seemed understaffed.
- Pros: Great venue, ambience
- Cons: Don't sit at community table
** Great Place! **

Finally went after a few friends recommended. What an amazing place! The food was unbelievable and the service unmatched. Our waitress recommended a terrific wine to accompany my salmon (which was delicious as well).
I have never been to a place where I am able to enjoy a great meal while listening to a live band. We saw the house band and I was wowed! I cannot say enough good things about this place. I will definitely be back and soon!
- Pros: amazing food, wine and live music
- Cons: a bit pricey (worth it!)

Unique, Authentic Dining and Music Experience, All in One Stop
by tdubski
Going out on the town sometimes means more time going and less time doing. Rather than rushing and parking for dinner, then rushing and parking for a show, I sat back and enjoyed an entire evening of fine food and amazing music. Granted, Wynton Marsalis made the evening special, but the setting made the entire experience memorable. I like the fact that the multiple courses flowed over the entire evening, rather than getting one huge plate at once. I had a drink at the bar and ordered a ceaser before the show. Then a great Filet during the first set and still had room for dessert during the second set. The bill was big, but not more than dinner and a show at seperate venues. I will definately be back.
- Pros: One stop for good food, great music, and easy parking
- Cons: Great nights out and big budgets go together

Little Italy's new live music venue brings fine acoustics, top-notch jazz acts and world-class cuisine.
WORTH A TRY

I have been to anthology two times now.One time for jazz and the second for latin music. The groups were oay,but nothing spectacular.I suspect its not in thier budget for top rate talent. The food is very average. The kobe sliders were bland and the buns were dry and tasteless. The bread basket they serve was rather good,as is the cheese plate.Portions are very small,as is the case with one of the owners, celebrity chef bradley ogden, give a little charge a lot.My bill for two people was $150,which I thought was rather pricey for average food and entertainment. If you have to check it out go to the bar ,spend the twenty dollar minimum for food per person, pay for your ticket for the music, which varies per artist,or go on a night when they don't charge for the music.Overall the price is very beautiful inside, but they need to work on their food and entertainment.
- Pros: Beautiful interior
- Cons: Average food and music, overpriced.
