Bombay , Monsoon , Masala disappointed me

Ugly step sisters Bombay, Monsoon and Masala are waste of money. I tried Bombay for Lunch buffet and thefood was totally garbage. Did not like the rubbery nan bread and the bland food was totally tasteless,

Then I received coupon in a magazine and tried Monsoon in down town I think that is totally ignored restaurant they have high chairs so you can not tell if the restaurant has any customers or not and would make it dark like a hounted house. The food is same quality when I complained about my food the manager who had no idea what Indian food is , he just appologized and said they are making some changes and next time it will be better and said we should try their other restaurant Masala on fifth avenue. While talking to my friends I asked them about masala and my friends told me if I wanted to have good Indian food I should try Royal India in down town and others are just waste of money.

I am going to try Royal India soon and cant wait to get some good Indian food.

Superb Value

I am just amazed at what super value The Monsoon Restaurant Group offers.

I should not say this but for offering such high class restaurants in excellent locations, I would be willing to pay alot more but I do love the value for money I get.

The service needs polishing up but apart from that, I give ten out of ten.

Bindi Drop, Tantratini and Tikka Mango shot me into a different planet.

Then to send me to heaven, I got Chocolate samosas.

Everyone needs to experience this.

Congratulations on your twenty years of success. Also Congratulations to Ashley for being Awarded Top Indian Executive Chef of San Diego.

I have been a loyal guest since you first opened Kool Korner Cuisine and expanded. I dine at all of your restaurants and could never dine at any of your lousy competitors places. They are cheap looking, dirty and ugly with terrible food. I hate the one with the yellow awning, it looks like bagel store awnings etc. They have no class.

You guys are definitely have the best Indian restaurants in San Diego. Nobody even comes close.

BEST INDIAN EVER!!!

I thought I had experienced the best Indian restaurants in London and New York but I was totally wrong. Bombay Exotic just blew my mind when I saw it. Further to my surprise was the top notch food they prepared. They were packed so service was just slightly off. Today I was really proud to be an Indian. See you guys soon.

Great food... but take out customer service is seriously lacking

Ordered food here twice - both times I gave ample time outside of the "your food will be ready in 20 minutes" by turning up 30-35 minutes later. Food wasn't ready(perhaps I waited too long??!), needed to wait for 15 minutes double parked on the curb (street parking is scarce) whilst the maitre d seemed confused and searched for a free waiter to "find" the order... the first time wrong entrees were given (didn't care at this point since I was starving) the second time the wait was extended to a good 20 minutes... they served the lassi in a plastic bowl - that's just WEIRD since it's a drink!

great food, but perhaps not worth ordering as take-out... it's certainly not their forte

The Executive team of the Monsoon Restaurant Group is shocked, dismayed and appalled to learn that one of our struggling competitors has curved to the levels of aggressive lunacy and has been disguising as one of our ex-employees and posting negative reviews in an impetuous effort to hamper the status of our culinary institutions.

We do not intend to indulge in this unethical and fraudulent attitude of our business rivals but instead continue focusing on the raising the bar for the quality of Indian food, unparallel ambiance and gracious service in USA along with exceptional standards of hospitality to all our Guests who have been very loyal to The Monsoon Group of Restaurants for decades.

Not a good first experience

Went to this restaurant as suggestion of my wife and daughter last week. We just moved back to SD about 1.5 years ago and have been wanting to find a 'Go-To' place for indian food and we had driven by this establishment a number of times and thought we'd give it a shot.

First when u drive by you think wow. Then when u walk up and into the place, you still think wow. Great restaurant, great decor, friendly staff

Then we ordered our typical few chicken entrees, a few appetizers and some of the bread and rice sides. I am sorry to say we were very disappointed. I like my food with some salt and probably more than todays health conscious patrons, but every dish I had down to the rice was overly salted and I am sorry to say I will not be returning to this restuarant regardless of how beautiful or friendly they are. I also thought the food was overpriced for what I received.

Maybe its just my family that feels this way? I don't think so.

Great Ambience

I recently wen to the lunch buffet at Bombay. The selection was decent, they had about 4-5 vegetable and meat dishes to choose from. The naan though was excellent. It was made to order and was definitely one of the better things they had in the buffet, along with the desserts. The food itself was mild in flavor (probably toned down for American Palates). The restaurant itself was BEAUTIFUL. The wait staff was very friendly and the price of the buffet was very reasonable. All in all a pretty good experience. My wife and I are new to the area, so we're hoping to find a place with more robust flavors. If you're craving Indian food though, this will quell that craving for sure.
