been happily going to this office for the past 6 yrs

by TigerLuver

I have taken ALL the pets that I have had in the past 6 yrs to this office. I have NEVER had a bad experience with any of the staff. Very friendly and kind. The vets have always been thorough with information and I trust them. I will continue take all my pets there. I do recommend this Vet Clinic to ALL my friends to take there pets, and THEY HAVE. I have heard NO complaints from any of them either.

  • Pros: Great Hours and Prices
  • Cons: Not open on Sundays.

Remains to be seen ... need to go back for the same issue

by goostie21

My dog's nose was snotty for a couple months and started to smell like infection, I finally took her in, afraid it was maybe a foxtail - and I was told, no it wasn't a fox tail, that he didn't smell anything, and it was probably allergies - thank you and goodbye.

It's been months since that appointment, and her nose is continually snotty, and now her eye has the same green snot. I'm sure it's a respitory infection (or whatever, a nose infection) - so I called to get a free re-appointment, since as I see it, I already paid for a vet appointment for this issue. I've been told to call back on Monday when an office manager and the vet are in.

we shall see ...

  • Pros: good prices
  • Cons: less than thorough service (you get what you pay for?)

Excellent Care

by navywife429

I was recommended to this hospital by a friend who had taken her 17 year old cat there since she got him as a kitten. I have taken my 14 year old cat there since I moved to San Diego in 2003. They are very nice and always ask about my animals when I go in there to get my cat's Rx food. I trust these people with my babies!

  • Pros: Friendly and knowledgeable staff, easy to get an appointment
  • Cons: higher appt prices in the evening

Horrible Experience!!!!

by sdsamaritan

Plain and simple. We had requested to have our dog's nails examined and cut....and what did we get? ...a half -shaven dog!!! They did not refund our money for our lose and now we are considering bring this to court for his practice if the doctor does not act accordingly.

Happy with Service

by msdih

We took out dog to get spade last week 3/10/07 and found the faculity, personel, and vet very nice. There was a consultation with Dr. Guajardo before the proceedure. We also had our dog's teeth cleaned. It has been a week and our little one is doing great.

Horrible

by vergeer

I took my cat there to have him nuetered. He left fine but a day later he started to act lethargic and didn't want to eat or drink. I took him back the next morning (where I was "scolded" by the lady and the front desk for not making an appointment) and the vet said that it had nothing to do with his surgery, that it must have been a dormant sickness that appeared coincidentially soon after. Not to mention that on our return visit he still charged me over $150 to check him and give him fliuds and antibiotics. I have never been to a vet that charges anything for a return visit when the problem obviously stemmed from previous treatment. The day after our return visit I took him to another vet clinic where I was told that he had an internal infection and the only way he would have gotten it was from his surgery, I AM NOT A VET and I could have told myself that. If you love your pets and want them to be healthy don't take them to Colina Vet Hospital as the vet is irresponsible and the staff is rude.

  • Pros: $50 for nuetering a male cat
  • Cons: I would rather pay $1000 and not have had a sick kitten
