This is the Best Fresh Seafood in San Diego. Try to go early it does get busy. Great Customer Service. Also, If you forget your lemon or butter at the store don't fret They give it to ya with your order.

Pros: Service, Freshest Seafood

Cons: Crowded, No where to park sometimes

I eat, A LOT, and I've had a lot of food in my day. But for some reason, nothing compares to the shrimp sandwich at Pt. Loma Seafoods. It is honestly my favorite food on earth. Anytime I am even remotely in the area I have to stop in and grab one. I can't really speak for the rest of the menu, though I've frequently tasted the fries and lemonade (which is my accompanying beverage of choice with the sandwich), but the sandwich has been a staple for about 20 years. It's fried jumbo shrimp (no tail), tartar sauce, and the softest, warmest, best sourdough bread slices you've ever had. Sounds basic, but no one makes it like Point Loma. The tables ARE covered in pigeons and there is always a line going into the lot, but parking is free, and if you wait patiently, you never have to wait for more than five minutes, which is totally worth it! A great place to take anyone visiting San Diego who likes seafood or boats!

Pros: Um, Shrimp Sandwich.

Cons: Seagulls? Pigeons? Really, it's all part of the seafood experience.

I recently moved back to San Diego for graduate school and the first place I went to for lunch was Point Loma Seafoods. I was happy to see the place was just like I had remembered when I was a kid. The food is fantastic, fresh, and affordable. The staff is always friendly and takes your order down with a smile. Any time a friend comes to town I insist they try the food there. Their crab cakes are fantastic and they serve some of the best clam chowder I have even eaten. Their food is healthy and very filling. My favorite item on the menu is the tuna sandwich. It's served on sourdough and makes my mouth water when I think about it. It's always busy when I go but the service is quick and the food is worth it!

Pros: extremely fresh food, fast service

Cons: narrow parking lot

This is simply the best. Love that it has stayed relatively the same for so many years. Never am dissappointed by the food -- ever.

Pros: amazing fresh seafood

Cons: insanely crowded on weekends

Legendary fresh fish market tosses up the day's catch Pike's Market-style right off the boats, plus custom party trays and sushi.  See the full editorial review.
