Trash, from the outside entrance, to the waitress, and most importantly the food. The waiting area when you first enter is a joke. The waitress looked like an old piece of leather and her personality was pushy and rude. The decore was from the 70's and dirty. The food was terrible.

I've been going to the Venetian 'before I was born'. This place is a must for great pizza and a large selection of pastas and other dishes. While I reserve Baci Restorante as my favorite Italian restaurant, the Venetian is a great place for pizza and selection of other dishes for those nights when you dont feel like a super fancy dinner.
Pros: Local crowd, not too fancy or dressy
Cons: Out of the way, limited parking

How can people possibly call this pizza the best?? The pizza has the thickest, blandest crust I've ever tasted, virtually no red sauce, and just piled on with about an inch of melted cheese. That's gross. The service however was excellent and next time we go, we'll order the entrees which looked really tasty. However, this is NOT a pizza joint. Maybe Im being harsh because I've lived in New York City and New Haven, CT where the best pizzas in the country is found, but this pizza was not good at all.
Pros: cozy, family style atmosphere
Cons: long wait, and bad pizza

San Diego could use more places with great pizza like Venetian. Recommend plain cheese or one topping only - the way real pizza should be eaten. Wish they delivered, but watching the kitchen when waiting for to go orders shows you that you're getting fresh, quality food. They should open another restaurant in San Diego that delivers!!!

I moved to San Diego over a year ago and this is the best pizza I have found. The pizza only comes in one size and it is perfect for 2-3 people. The cheese is very tasty and so is the crust. They also have a really nice patio for dining. It can be very crowded on weekends so plan on waiting a little bit. It is well worth it and the prices can't be beat either.
Pros: pizza, large menu, friendly atmosphere
Cons: no delivery of pizza and not open early on Sunday
