In theory, if a person bought a new Macintosh and started from scratch using its great tools, things may be very simple and easy. If, on the other hand, a person had accumulated a decade's worth of knowledge on a PC, it may not be very easy. My needs fell in the latter category. Once I opened up my new iMac with the 10.4 operating system, I was able to transfer some key documents using a hard drive. But from there, I found that my email and Internet Explorer were not to easy to migrate to the iMac. I did a simple on-line search for knowledgeable instructors in the San Diego area to help me. Tom quickly and confidently explained to me that he could do it. I guessed that I did not have much to loose. Tom started by doing his own searches then asking me logical questions about the systems I was using (Internet connection, PC operating system, etc.). After that, he called me and we embarked on a very logical/effective trip. During the optimization process, Tom maintained his composure (not an easy thing to do with me) and provided specific and effective solutions for me. While we were doing the process, Tom was also searching for key references on tasks that we had not started so his multitasking abilities were very evident. Since we finished our session, a couple of hours ago, I have been doing the tasks that I needed to do on the iMac. My email and Internet connections are perfect. I can access my files. As a result of Tom's effort, I am now more effective in doing my work on the iMac. In addition, Tom volunteered many suggestions (tricks, etc.) for continuing my future activities on the iMac. In summary, I found Tom to be a perfect person to help me with my iMac needs. As issues arise that I cannot solve alone, Tom will be the first resource I choose. Over the years, I have used many IT people and Tom ranks within the top few I have ever hired.

Pros: He came to me, really knew his stuff, saved me many hours.
