Very cordial welcoming environ... great attentive barkeeps... varied menu for a small place, the best is the "comfort food"... talk about retro, go back to childhood with a grilled cheese sam'ich and tater tots, just like Mom used to make... errr, except for the several choices of frosty draft beer... Mom's tap wasn't as prodigious... lively, fun, no sense of pretense... watched the bcs bowl there last year, good for sports... especially VT and Steelers...…

Consider the fact that this spot is relatively far from the Mission-Garnet intersection a good thing. It only means that there's less foot traffic, making it that much easier to score a prime table. The space has a slight college bar feel and to a certain extent, that's what Bub's is going for.
