It's hidden away behind the Sunshine Gardens Nursery, but this tiny bakery has earned a devoted following thanks to the desserts whipped up in the open-view kitchen by owner Elizabeth Harris. Formerly a pastry chef for some of the city's top restaurants, she's catered events for celebrities like Geena Davis and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. While many of her nostalgic recipes are treats patrons fondly recall their moms or grandmothers baking, she uses only top-quality natural ingredients and adds a touch of elegant panache to everything from Mississippi mud pies to red velvet cupcakes.
