Don't go there!!!!
by rysmomma at Citysearch
I got a facial and a "body wrap." The woman keep putting stuff on my face, not even massaging it, and then leaving the room. I had steam on my face for so long that I almost went out to see what she was doing. Then for my "wrap" she just rubbed a brush over me and then some salt/flour mixture and then brushed it off! It hurt and I was so mad by the time it was over! Huge waste of money and time! Plus you pay gratuity first which is weird!
- Pros: None!
- Cons: Everything!
What a nightmare!

This is not really a spa. It's one rude woman who acts as both receptionist and so-called masseuse and can do neither well. I used a gift certificate I won at a silent auction and even though I still have $150 left to use, I won't be going back. You couldn't pay me to go back to this place! The massage was terrible - my 11 year old daughter does a much better job - and she jipped me on how long she massaged me. It was supposed to be 80 minutes and it ended up being no more than 65. Plus, she tried to convince me that I should use a machine to jiggle my feet for 10 minutes, in order to "get my body ready for the massage." I don't know about you, but as a mom with 2 kids and a husband, I don't need help getting ready for a massage! For this service, I was required to pay a 20% tip, up front. No doubt, because if clients were given the opportunity to leave it after the service, noone would. This "spa" won't be around for long.
- Pros: none
- Cons: the whole experience was bad
Worst Spa and Facial Place
by trixelee at Citysearch
I was so disappointed in the service and how dirty and unsanitary the place was. I purchased a package for a dermabrasion at the hillcrest Framer's market. There was one lady working there, she left me waiting around and continued to answer her phone while I was on the table. She then proceeded to "clean" my face with her fingers with what seemed to be nasty tap water and a lemon!!.Disgusting!!.. She didn;t even wipe my face nor attempt to clean it properly. She didn't ask ANY questions concerning my face, sensitivity,etc.... The dermabrasion machine was set on a VERY low setting. The whole setup was absolutely HORRIBLE! I DO NOT recommend this place!
Rubbish

"Very poor service, decent massage. I bought my wife a gift certificate for this place thinking it would be a nice way to take a break from our newborn. First of all booking an appointment was a trial as they never had any convienent times, which in itself is ok but you do not expect staff to get annoyed with you when you can't fit in a time.
Then after a major trial to set up the appointment when she made it there it seemed they hadn't even made the appointment which mean't she was kept waiting for 20 minutes or so, sitting on a tiny stool in a robe. Then after receiving a very poor facial and a decent massage she tipped the massuse and left. She was then asked to return to the store and give an EXTRA 20% tip for outrageously bad service.
Will not be using that place again."
- Pros: Massuse Trisha was Nice
- Cons: Very poor customer service, incompetent.
World Spa

The World Spa was by far the worst spa experience in San Diego and I've tried quite a few. I shelled out a lot of money for a package deal. There was only one person working so she would often leave me alone in the room while she left to answer the phone right in the middle of my service. I was suppose to get 2 and 1/2 hours of pampering and I was in and out in an hour and half the time the lady was assisting other clients. In addition, it wasn't too clean and the treatments weren't customized at all. I was given an anti-aging facial and I am very young. This was a real disappointment. And if you don't like people talking to you while you're being massaged, steer clear for this reason as well.
- Pros: None
- Cons: unprofessional, poorly lit, unclean, rushed, noisy, far from relaxing
